Laurie Bartram, partner in the stud and rider,  shown here with her two ponies Raskelf's Mull of Kintyre aka Danny (left) and Maglin Showboy aka Chucky, both JA ponies.

Laurie made many friends in her days on ponies and was very sad when she turned 16 and could no longer compete on them.  We still have Danny, sharing ownership with him now with Debbie and Jessica Brady from Sevenoaks in Kent.  Danny has taught many pony riders including Laurie.

We are a small, family run stud in Littleport, near Ely in Cambridgeshire.  Standing our two stallions Temple Der Konig (King) and Elysian Jasper along with our seven broodmares, two of whom compete as showjumpers.  The pedigree and performance record of mares is as important as the stallions in producing quality progeny.  Our stallions are only allowed to cover approved mares, that is mares who, coupled with our stallions who are most likely to produce the kind of progeny that will do justice to their sire and dam and to their owner.  The pedigree is the place to start.   A link is included to investigate pedigrees on the All Pedigree Database, something I have been using for several years now.  I spend alot of time researching pedigrees especially the ancestors of my own horses.  If you are fully registered (well worth the small annual fee) you can try a 'hypomating' to see what the pedigree of a potential foal would be, providing you have the pedigree of your mare of course.  You can also add horses and their pedigrees to the website along with information about them and photographs.  If anyone needs help with this please let us know.

Our yard is approved as a provider for training by Broadlands.  We offer training to NVQ level 3 in Horse Management and Care including the breeding module.
